The monstrous 5.6L V8 DOHC gasoline engine distributes significant power onto Patrol’s 20” wheels enabling it to gracefully dominate any terrain. This engine pumps a stunning 400HP and is mated with a 7-speed automatic or optional 6-speed manual transmission. The swift reaction of Patrol comes form its Direct Fuel Injection System (DIG). For the suspension, Nissan’s HBMC (Hydraulic Body Motion Control) System provides a firm grip on the ground with a high ground clearance which helps in off-roading. With the help of Locking Rear Differential, torque is evenly distributed on the rear wheels easily pulling the SUV out of loose sand or mud. Without a doubt, Patrol 2012 rightfully carries forward its legacy of a dominant off-roader.

Taking a special care for passenger safety, Patrol comes with dual front SRS airbags(side and curtain airbags are optional), Intelligent Brake Assist, Crash-sensitive Door Unlock, Active Head Restraints and Automated Hazard Warning Signal. The most impressive safety feature is the Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, through this technology if Patrol senses the drive unintentionally getting dangerously close to the lane markers; it automatically hits brakes and applies a turning force while alerting the driver with an alarm. Other features include Forward Collision Warning, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Blind Spot Intervention Systems which alerts the driver when another vehicle is present in his blindspot.
