Nissan Altima 2012 is available in  two segments, one as a comfortable and spacious 4-door sedan and other as a fast paced, sporty 2-door coupe. Both segments are available with two engine options, a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and a mighty 3.5L V6 engine which produce 179 HP and a whopping 270 HP respectfully. These engines are mated with a 6-speed Continuous Variable Transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission (available only in Coupe) for the thrill seeking drivers.  Altima sits on firm gripped 18” aluminum alloy wheels and the 2.5L variant lies on 16” steel wheels. To top it up for an amazing drive, Nissan’s Z-inspired suspensions featuring lightweight multi-link design delivers a supple ride with quick response.

Altima 2012 looks more beautiful than ever with restyled head-lamps, a new wheel design and sharp lines flowing from the bonnet to the grille. These lines have added a sporty touch to the sedan’s personality. The rear design remains the same with the beautiful ‘stretched’ tail-lamp design and dual chrome exhaust pipes. With a sleek roof-line and lower wheel base, the coupe looks equally stunning. Projector beam head-lamps sit in a new design, the sporty chin holds the fog lamps with sharp lines giving an aggressive feel.

Nissan has truly enhanced interiors of Altima 2012 with user friendly technologies and elegant finishing. Seats are comfortable and the dashboard is well designed. The coupe has a much sporty bucket seats to hold you in place at speedy curves. The sedan is available in beige cloth, grey cloth and beige leather upholstery and additional red leather upholstery is an option for the coupe. The plush interiors can be further beautified with the option of fine wood-tone or metallic accent finishing. The vehicle is spacious and well finished with good legroom and decent storage space in the trunk. 
 
A keyless entry system and push button engine ignition runs standard on all variants. This intelligent system, now seen in most of the vehicles, lets you unlock the door, open the trunk and start the engine without using your keys. The Bluetooth hands free system helps you make and receive calls with a touch of a button on the leather finished steering wheel.

 The central console is well designed and holds the custom-tuned entertainment system powered by Bose with a 9.3 GB storage space for hours of music playback. This premium sound system produces mesmerizing music quality through 9 speakers and supports MP3/CD playback with an in dash DVD player. An audio jack and USB slot have been provided to support iPod and other music devices. A clear 4.3” LCD touch-screen helps viewing your music playlist and also projects the rear view parking camera with custom guidelines. Further a voice guided Navigation system provides step-by-step directions to help you tour the city without getting lost. 
 
Nissan has always had a special care for safety. With 6 airbags and front seat’s active head restraints, Altima is build to protect. Nissan’s special airbag system is equipped with seat belt sensors and occupant-classification sensors to help modify the inflation rate of air bags depending on crash sensitivity. Traction Control System (TCS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and ABS with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) run standard on all variants. They help optimize Altima’s firm grip on the tarmac and enhance braking performance.
