Ford sets a new benchmark for small cars with Fiesta 2012

In today’s cut throat market, carmakers around the world think big when it comes to small cars. Here in Dubai, small compact cars are a popular segment as they offer a variety of features and interior trim in an affordable price tag. Every brand offers various vehicles for this small but important segment of vehicles but a very few of these are comparable to Ford Fiesta 2012.

Ford Fiesta received a makeover in 2008 and impressed Dubai with its sporty looks. Continuing the same design for 2012, Fiesta makes a dominating presence overshadowing many in exterior styling. Talk about its stretchy headlamps or the high mounted uniquely attractive tail-lamp, Fiesta is wrapped in a loveable design. The chin on the front grille is proportionally designed in tune with the car’s size and fog-lamps dressed in chrome make the front look appealing. Equally impressive is the styling at the back with the sleek roofline sloping downwards and ending in a trendy spoiler. The curvaceous low lying bumper with a dual tone design makes a sporty impression.  Fiesta’s detailed and aggressive styling, inspired by Ford’s rally heritage, makes this car instantly likeable. Compared to other players standing on the race line, Fiesta clearly steals the show as far as looks are concerned.

As boldly sharp on the outside, Fiesta is soft and smooth on the inside. The angular designs on the central console give the dual tone dashboard a modern look. The full ops Titanium interior trim is crafted in luxurious leather and seats are covered in attractive fabric designs. The electronic power-assisted is comfortably small yet efficient and can be adjusted for optimum driving position. In-car entertainment packs six speakers and supports iPod and other audio devices, a good feature for this segment.  Key less entry system allows for convenience so does the park-assist (optional). You don’t expect a car of this size to offer luggage space in the literal sense, well to your surprise Fiesta can accommodate a reasonable amount of luggage in the trunk. One might wonder where does that space come from, it’s the intelligent design from Ford that answers the question.

The lack of a central armrest (common in this segment) is a little inconvenient when driving and a pair of roof lights on the back would be appreciated. Apart from these drawbacks, the designs and elegant finishing of the interiors is top notch.

Ford Fiesta offers two engine options in Dubai, a 1.4L 4-cylinder Duratec (automatic) which produces 95HP at 6000RPM and a 1.25L 4-cylinder Duratec (manual) which delivers 80HP at the same RPM. Power and response of this engine is respectable. Push the throttle and it reacts immediately not compromising anywhere in pick-up. ABS and EBD are integrated for maximum brake reaction in case of an emergency. Other safety options include a driver and front passenger airbags on basic Ambiente variant, where else the top of the range Titanium version gets addition of side and knee airbags.

For the small compact segment, Fiesta is an ideal choice as it by far beats completion at many levels. It is a modern and well designed car with various features available as option and beautiful interiors. Although the Titanium model is priced high, one can cut down on luxurious features to fetch a reasonable price making Ford Fiesta an ideal option.

I like the looks too, and compared to the Smart is down right sexy! In fact, everything about this car seems (can’t say for sure) better than the Smart 4 doors, 4 passenger, more cargo room (rear seats down), better styling.

I can’t speak for the other brands but Cadillac vechiles come with very comprehensive warranties that make them more reliable than a lot of other vehicle brands. So you’re not just buying the Cadillac name but you’re also buying a vehicle that’s going to last for a long time. Thanks,LauraGM Customer Service
