Unlike many popular movies, the future of automobiles is not a car which jumps and starts flying. In the practical world we live in, convenience, safety and ease are our point of focus. Over 1.2 Million people die every year in road accidents all around the world. To help save these lives, companies such as Google have been developing a technology that allows for cars to drive by themselves using GPS maps, innovative sensors and back-up safety mechanism to avoid accidents. As a matter of fact Google is a pioneer of this industry, having begin their work back in the 2008, they are continuously refining this cutting edge technology. The state of Nevada in the United States Of America, became the first state to approve regulations for testing driverless cars.
With the government encouraging various companies like Google to come on open roads and test their technology, that day is not far when you cruising past a vehicle on the highway and look sideways to a person casually reading a newspaper with the car driving on its own.
